IT is easy to forget that Worcester once lay at the very heart of the struggle for Britain’s soul and that, deep within its blood-stained soil, the seeds of our democracy were sown. But if any of us do forget the colossal debt we owe, Daniel Daniels, chairman of the Battle of Worcester Society, will be sure to remind us of it, especially as we approach the pivotal battle’s 375th anniversary.
