HERITAGE champions want to put the city on the map as they mark the 375th anniversary of a battle which shaped a nation and sowed the seeds of democracy around the world.

This year marks 375 years since the Battle of Worcester – and heritage experts, councillors and tourism leaders are working together to make the most of the commemorations.

CivilWar375 was launched in the Great Hall of the Commandery in Sidbury on Friday ahead of ‘a year of special events, exhibitions and experiences’ to mark the milestone.
