John Bradshaw’s name has survived as that of the ruthless murderer who sentenced Charles I to death in January 1649, but that is not the full story. Bradshaw was one of the most important men involved in the Parliamentarian government during the English Civil War and Interregnum.
Dr Young is an Early Modern Historian and teaches at Oxford University Continuing Education and at Wake Forester writing on English Civil War sequestration and John Bradshawe.
